Despite analysts’ warnings, the current corporate savings glut has no future
Whenever and wherever there is a discussion about the present economic state of the world, the topic of ‘imbalances’ very easily finds its place, as does the phrase “savings glut,” which perhaps has almost become a clichĂ©. And the reason is that the world economy, which is now in the midst of a debilitating imbalance because of huge current account surpluses of emerging economies, has once again lost its balance.
